Skydance Paramount Plans to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Update
Skydance Paramount is scheduled to begin mass layoffs the week of 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 American roles as part of a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn under top executive David Ellison.
The layoffs are a result of the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August valued at $8.4bn.
More global layoffs are likely, with Paramount Skydance aiming to reveal full details via its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.
Prior news stated the firm was looking to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.
By December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 temporary project employees.
Paramount Skydance has not yet commented on the matter.
